Binomial:
Dendrobium QF Akala plant grown by BJ Lough.
Cross:
Den. atroviolaceum v. compactum x Den. Roy Tokunaga v. semi-alba
Culture: Dendrobiums are often large plants in small pots. Best in warm conditions and medium-high light, 58-75° F. Water generously and fertilize regularly while plants are actively growing in spring and summer. The potting media should be kept evenly moist with only slight drying allowed in between. When day length shortens and temperatures cool, reduce water and fertilizer to keep plants a little on the drier side throughout the cooler, drier months. The thin stems which come out of these canes can get cut after the flowers finish blooming. After another growth season, the Dendrobium will bloom again.
