Description: A Florida native terrestrial orchid purchased from a California flasker. Sports normally one, occasionally two and rarely three dark green lanceolate leaves 2 to 4 inches long on brown petioles. A single spike emerges from the base of the plant in November-December and grows up to 8-12 inches tall before offering 4 to 10 white spurred blooms up to 2.5 inches wide in late December - February. Blooms become capsules and dehiss in March - April. Leaves persist throughout the year.
Culture: Grown in air conditioned porch on shelf next to sliding glass door. Gets watered twice weekly and is not fertilized
