Description: Bc. Hippodamia is a very old cross made in 1908. That's more than 112 years ago. Roy Tokunaga of H&R Nurseries remade this cross using his B. nodosa 'Mas Mejor' crossed with a tetraploid C. aclandiae. This is a seedling from a compot (23931) that I obtained from H&R Nurseries. The plant is blooming for the first time in a 2-inch clay pot
Culture: The plant was growing in a 2-inch clay pot with New Zealand sphagnum moss as the media. The plant bloomed in the 2-inch pot. The plant has since been transplanted into a 4-inch plastic pot with bark as the media. The plant is growing in the open under 50% shade cloth.
