Description: Found in southern Brazil at altitudes around 1400 meters as a robust, medium sized, cool growing epiphyte with a rhizome enveloped with dry, stringy sheaths, ovoid-conical, slightly compressed, ribbed pseudobulbs that carry two apical, erect, linear-lanceolate, acute, attenuate below into the pseudo-petiolate base leaves and blooms in the winter in Brazil on a basal, 5" [12.5 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence enveloped basally by imbricating, acuminate sheaths with the flowers having a sweet fragrance.
