Bulbophyllum contortisepalum plant grown by Russell Bulley.
Description: Pseudobulbs and leaves dull dark green. Peduncle pale brownish red. Sepals yellowish green, towards the base with brownish violet stripes. Lip dark brownish violet with a white tip. Column greenish yellow.
Habitat: Epiphyte in lowland forest; 5-800 m.
Distribution: Malesia (New Guinea), Solomon Islands, Vanuatu.
Culture: mist forests on moss-free trunks and branches at elevations of 50 to 1500 meters as miniature to small sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte. In almost all habitats where epiphytic orchids occur. Also on rocks; rarely terrestrial and then mainly at higher altitudes
