Also Pseudomonas cyprlpedii, can be cured by soaking the plants in Natriphene or Benlate at stated rates after all the rot has been excised with a sharp knife. OD86-168

Brown areas at the base of leaves there is no sure cure; caused not entirely by watering but also by stale house conditions; try strong air movement and "sweet" conditions; try drenching with Physan; prune the damage. OR82-101
