Fungus, causes rot where leaf meets the stem; dark, sharply dilimited lesions appear first in heart of the plant; spreads rapidly if not dry; vandas, phalaenopsis and even cattleyas are most susceptible; treat with Zineb or drench with Natriphene or dip plant above roots in Tersan. N317
