Sometimes a spike carrying a pod rots or dries away; can be counteracted by setting more than one pod; or by setting the end pod in addition to another; spikes dying back can be cut above the pod and tree-sealed; other methods and remedies given; refer to C74-164

SEED PODS: Cattleya Pods Split Prematurely It can be caused by incompatibility of the cross; the seed is not viable; it happens when one or both parents are triploids. A69-700 0
