Cardboard containers are good for small, air express shipments; large ones should go in sturdy slatted crates, or native containers, from the wild; each should bear the words "Live plants keep from heat or cold"; protect from cold with layers of newspapers; do not pack in polyethylene bags or tight wrappings; do not use moisture; isolate tiny plants in paper bags; allow for ventilation among plants.
