ORIGIN: Found in Colombia and Venezuela on the eastern cordillera in cloud forests at elevations around 2100 to 2500 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Miniature to small sized, cold growing epiphyte with a short rhizome, ovate, strongly compressed laterally, ancipitous pseudobulbs enveloped basally by imbricating, leaf bearing sheaths and carrying a single, leathery, lanceolate, acute, conduplicte towards the base into the short, petiolate-like base leaf that blooms on an axillary, paniculate, each branch 2 to 5 flowering, fractiflex, to 30 [75 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence that arises on a recently matured pseudobulb and carries both fertile and non-fertile, faintly fragrant flowers.
