ORIGIN: Found in Colombia, Ecuador and Peru as a miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte of wet montane forests at elevations of 400 to 450 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Found in Colombia, Ecuador and Peru as a miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte of wet montane forests at elevations of 400 to 450 meters with an ellipsoid to ovate-oblong, laterally compressed, sulcate pseudobulb with a few, basal, dry sheaths and a single, apical, oblong-elliptic, obtuse, coriaceous, dull green leaf that has a conduplicate petiole and blooms in cultivation (US) in the early fall on a short, pendant, single to few [1 to 7] flowered inflorescence that is shorter than the leaves and has tubular flowers with a fragrance of Potato Beetle.
