Orchid Species: Scaphyglottis bilineata

Scaphyglottis bilineata is an orchid species identified by (Rchb.f.) Schltr. in 1918.
ORIGIN: Found in Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama and Colombia at elevations of 30 to 1000 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Small sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with with terete slender, stems sometimes arising from the apex of older pseudobulbs and carrying 2 apical, linear-ligulate, acute leaves that blooms on a terminal, fasciculate, single flowered inflorescence.
FLOWER SIZE: 0.5 inches [1.2 cm]
