Angraecopsis amaniensis is an orchid species identified by Summerh. in 1945.
ORIGIN: Found in Kenya, Tanzania Malawi, Mozambique and Zimbabwe as a small sized, warm to cold growing epiphyte in high rainfall areas, evergreen forests and occasionally on rocks at elevations of 750 to 2100 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Found in Kenya, Tanzania Malawi, Mozambique and Zimbabwe as a small sized, warm to cold growing epiphyte in high rainfall areas, evergreen forests and occasionally on rocks at elevations of 750 to 2100 meters with a very short stem carrying 2 to 4, narrowly elliptic, blue green, almost fleshy, sometimes deciduous leaves that blooms in the fall on a pendant, several at once, 2 to 4 [5 to 10 cm] long, densely many [20] flowered inflorescence with fragrant flowers that smell of Lily of the Valley and are arranged in two rows.
FLOWER SIZE: 1/2 inch [1.25 cm]
