ORIGIN: Found in the Cameron Hills of Malaysia on tree branches in bright light at elevations around 1500 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with clustered, conical, 3 to 4 internoded, smooth, yellowish green turning reddish purple with age pseudobulbs enveloped by ovate sheaths carrying 3 to 4, one from each internode, oblong, subcoriaceous, rounded apically leaves that blooms in the spring on an arching, terete, green, rachis branched, 5 to 6 branches, 11 to 11.6 [27.5 to 29 cm] long, to 34 flowered inflorescence with 3 to 4 basal, overlapping, sessile, ovate, papery, margin entire, acute, purple bracts and sessile, ovate, papery, margin entire, acute, purple floral bracts.
