ORIGIN: Found in Ecuador, Peru, Brazil and Bolivia in wet montane forests at elevations of 450 to 1600 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte on tree trunks with slender, erect stems that are leafy towards the apex and basally enveloped by tubular, scarious leaf sheaths and carrying ascending, narrowly lanceolate, basally clasping, acuminate, thin leaves and blooms in the fall and winter on a densely flowered, terminal, racemose inflorescence arising on mature canes with numerous small flowers.
