Orchid Species: Bulbophyllum cryptophoranthus

Bulbophyllum cryptophoranthus is an orchid species identified by Garay in 1999.
ORIGIN: Found in the Philippines at mid range elevations.
DESCRIPTION: Mini-miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with .6 [1.5 cm] btween each obliquely ovoid, slightly compressed pseudobulb carrying a single apical, erect, leathery, oblong-elliptic, narrowing below into the petiolae base leaf that blooms on an erect, peduncel slightly compressed, to 8 [20 cm] long, with distichous, ovate-lanceolate, acuminate, laterally compressed bracts, to 14 [35 cm] long overall, successively single, several flowered inflorescence carrying flowers that are unpleasantly fragrant.
