ORIGIN: Found in Papua New Guinea as a small sized, showy, hot to warm growing epiphyte and is one of the most beautiful of the Papua and New Guinea orchids occurring at elevations of 600 to 1200 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Found in Papua New Guinea as a small sized, showy, hot to warm growing epiphyte and is one of the most beautiful of the Papua and New Guinea orchids occurring at elevations of 600 to 1200 meters with a creeping, seldom branching, woody, brown rhizome with 1 to 8 [2.5 to 20 cm] between each, erect, narrowly ovoid to cylindrical to sub-fusiform, usually curved, pale green becoming brown green with age, rough textured, sulcate with age pseudobulb with evanescent sheaths and carrying a single, apical, lanceolate, shortly petiolate, green, thin yet leathery, acute apically leaf which blooms in the late spring on a basal, suberect to drooping, 6 [15 cm] long, slender, single flowered inflorescence with a diurnal, delicate, wide opening flower.
