ORIGIN: Found in China, Taiwan, eastern Himalayas and Vietnam in moist places in forests and along ravines at elevations of 1300 to 2600 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Medium to large sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with short fusiform, curved, about 5 internoded pseudobulbs carrying 3 to 5, broadly to narrowly elliptic, acuminate, petiolate base leaves that blooms in the late spring and summer on a terminal, 12 to 28 [20 to 70 cm] long, laxly 6 to 20 flowered, pubescent, ridged inflorescence with oblong-ovate, acute, adpressed, distant bracts and lanceolate, acute floral bracts and carrying flowers that are not fragrant.
