ORIGIN: Found in New Guinea on the crests at elevations around 1000 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Medium to large sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with a very short rhizome giving rise to filiform, elongate, flexuous, sparsely puberulous to glabrous stems carrying erect-patent, to 10, linear-lanceolate, acuminate, narrowing below into the petiolate base leaves that blooms in the late spring and early summer on a lateral, erect, strict, to 32 [80 cm] long, peduncle to 26 [65 cm] long, well spaced few bracted, terete, rachis to 6 [15 cm] long, subdensely 15 to 25 flowered inflorescence with patent, lanceolate, acuminate, much shorter thant the ovary floral bracts.
