ORIGIN: Found in Brazil's central Plateau in Mato Grosso and Goiás states in savannahs at elevations around 200 to 650 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Medium sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with clustered, fusiform pseudobulbs enveloped basally by deciduous leaf sheaths and carrying up to 10, arched, oblanceolate leaves that blooms in the summer on a basal, arched, racemose, 20 3/4 [52 cm] long, many [32] flowered inflorescence with resupinate flowers.
