ORIGIN: Found in the Chinese Himalayas, eastern Himalayas, Assam, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam in rainforests at elevations of 1700 to 2600 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Miniature sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with a creeping rhizome with 1.2 to 3.8 [3 to 9.5 cm] between each conical-pyriform, rugose when dry, erect pseudobulb enveloped by broadly lanceolate-ovate, acute sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, linear-oblong to linear-ovate, obtuse, retuse to emarginate, dorsal vein keeled, gradually narrowing below into the channeled, petilolate base leaf that blooms in the fall on a basal, erect, filiform, sparsely warty, umbellate, 2 to 3 flowered inflorescence with 2 overlapping, tubular sheaths and papery, lanceolate floral bracts and carrying pendant, resupinate flowers.
