Coelogyne schweinfurthiana is an orchid species identified by (L.O.Williams) R.Rice in 2019. Culture information and photos for this orchid are commonly detailed under the currently accepted name of Pholidota schweinfurthiana.
ORIGIN: Found in Sarawak, Brunei and Sabah Borneo in ridge top forests at elevations of 1300 to 1700 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Miniature to small sized, cool growing epiphyte with asdcending, slender, longitudinally wrinkled pseudobulbs hidden by the persistent, basal scales and fibers and carrying a single, apical, linear, widestr above the middle, acute, mainly 5 nerved, petiolate base leaf that blooms in the later fall on an erect, synanthous, peduncle wiry, terete to somewhat angular, 2.8 to 5.6 [7 to 14 cm] long, rachis pendulous, distinctly zig-zag, .8 to 1.08 [2 to 2.7 cm] long, 5 to 8 flowered inflorescence carrying non-resupinate flowers.
