Orchid Species: Cyrtochilum trigibbum

Cyrtochilum trigibbum is an orchid species identified by (Königer) J.M.H.Shaw in 2014.
DESCRIPTION: Medium to large sized epiphyte with a short rhizome giving rise to narrowly ovate, slightly laterally compressed pseudobulbs envelope dbasally by 2 to 3 pairs of distichous, foliaceous sheaths and carrying 1 to 2, apical, erect, oblong-lanceolatre, conduplicate below into the petioalte base leaves that blooms on an axillary, erect and arcuate to spreading and nodding, [100 to 160 cm long, peduncel much shorter than the rachis, rachis 2 to 10 branched, the branches spreading to ascending, each 4 to 12 [10 to 30 cm] long, often branching again, each 2 to 10 flowering, many flowered inflorescence with rounded-convolute floral bracts and carrying sequentially, opening from the base up, only a few open at a time flowers.
