ORIGIN: Found in French Guiana, Guyana, Venezuela and Peru in cloud, elfin and other wet forests at elevations of 950 to 1950 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Small to large sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with erect, simple, laterally compressed, ancipitous stems carrying 3 to 4 [6], distichous, narrowly oblong, unequally bilobed apically, subcoriaceous, green leaves that blooms at any time of the year on an apical, from a mature growth, racemose [occasionally 1 branched], distichous, erect, flexuous, 8 [20 cm] long, laterally compressed, ancipitous, successively to 20 flowered inflorescence with much longer than the ovary, conduplicate, acute, spaced apart floral bracts.
