Eria pinguis is an orchid species identified by Ridl. in 1917. Culture information and photos for this orchid are commonly detailed under the currently accepted name of Cylindrolobus pinguis.
ORIGIN: Found in western Sumatra at elevations of 1300 to 2100 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Cool to cold growing epiphyte with a long and leafy styem carrying linear-lanceolate, narrowing towards the very uneven and shortly bidentate apex leaves that blooms on an erect, 2.6 to 3.2 [6.5 to 8 cm] long, partly furry hairy spotted, three to six flowered inflorescence with oblong-ovate, acuminate, convex floral bracts carrying large flowers spotted with red inside a white lip and densely hairy inside sepals with furry hair on the outside.
