ORIGIN: Found in eastern Madagascar in dry woods.

DESCRIPTION: Small sized, warm growing terrestrial with conical, 6 to 7 angled pseudobulbs enveloped by 3 caudaceous sheaths and carrying a single, persistent, longly petiolate, medially articulate, narrowly lanceolate, attenuate-acute at both ends, finely veined leaf that blooms in the late spring and summer on an erect, arising before the new growth, 16 to 20 [40 to 50 cm] long, paniculate, 7 to 10 flowered inflorescence with 4 scarious, obtuse, finely veined bracts.
