DESCRIPTION: A lowland, hot to warm growing, small to medium sized epiphyte in Myanmar, Thailand, peninsular Malaysia, Java, Sumatra, Borneo, Lesser Snnda Islands, the Moluccas, Sulawesi, the Philippines, New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Queensland Australia and Samoa in coastal, lowland and hill forests at elevations of sea-level to 800 meters often on horizontal tree branches over water that grows into fan-shaped tufts with clustered, laterally flattened, oval, green pseudobulbs enveloped basally by 2 to 4 leaf-like sheaths and carrying a single apical, linear, unevenly obtuse apically leaf and blooms in the fall in nature on a slender, erect, terete, 8 to 20 [20 to 50 cm] long, densely many [10 to 20] flowered inflorescence that bends and becomes arcuate as it blooms.
