ORIGIN: Found in India, Sri Lanka and the Andaman Islands.

DESCRIPTION: Miniature to small sized, hot growing epiphyte with a short stem carrying rigidly leathery leaves that blooms in the spring and summer on an axillary, stout, erect to ascending, rarely branched, dull purple, furrowed, to 8 [to 20 cm] long, densely many flowered inflorescence carrying fragrant flowers.
