ORIGIN: Found in the Kuril Island, Japan, Korea, Taiwan and China in damp places in forests at elevations of 400 to 2400 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Mini-miniature to miniature sized, cold growing terrestrial with an ascending stem carrying 4 to 6, widely spaced to occasionally clustered towards the apex of the stem, green, without white markings, ovate to oblong, oblique, acute, rounded to cuneate below into the petiolate base leaves that blooms in the late summer and earlier fall on a terminal, erect, green, peduncle .4 [1 cm] long, rachis .4 to 1.4 [1 to 3.5 cm] long, subsecund, densely 3 to 9 flowered inflorecscence with lanceolate, glabrous, acuminate floral bracts.
