Orchid Species: Luisia zollingeri

Luisia zollingeri is an orchid species identified by Rchb.f. in W.G.Walpers in 1863.
ORIGIN: Found in the Andaman Islands, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Borneo, Java and Sumatra on trees in montane forests at elevations of sea-level to 1000 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Medium to large sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with a mostly pendulous, apically uprising stem carrying, terete, obtuse, channeled above leaves that blooms in the spring on a .4 [1 cm] long, several flowered inflorescence with very short rounded floral bracts.
FLOWER SIZE: 1/4 inch [8.5 cm]
