ORIGIN: Found from Nigeria, Burundi, Central African Republic, Cameroon, Rwanda, Zaire, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Sudan, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Angola, Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe in open woodlands and riverine woodlands on twigs and small branches at elevations of 500 to 1950 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Medium sized, leafless, monopodial, warm to cool growing epiphyte that is best grown mounted on wood with a very short, leafless stem and grey roots when dry that become greenish when moist and blooms on 3 to 5, erect to descending, stiff, slightly fractiflex, 2.4 to 4 [6 to 10 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence with many [15 to 20], upwards facing, honey scented, simultaneously opening flowers occurring in the fall in nature and winter and early spring in cultivation.
