ORIGIN: Found in Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay in moist forests at elevations of 100 to 320 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with closely set, erect, straight or curved, laterally strongly compressed, ancipitous, longitudinally shallow grooved with age pseudobulbs partially enveloped by 2 to 3, leafless or leaf bearing sheaths and carrying two, apical, leathery, erect to spreading, narrowly lanceolate, acute, tapers and then narrows into the conduplicate, petiolate base leaves that blooms in the late spring and summer on a gracefully arching, 6 to 10 [15 to 25 cm] long, many densely flowered, inflorescence arising on a newly matured pseudobulb and carrying very fragrant flowers .
