ORIGIN: Found in Costa Rica and Panama in in wet montane forests at elevations of sea-level to 800 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Large sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with subcoriaceous, linear-ligulate, oblique, subacute, glabrous leaves that blooms in the winter and spring on an erect-patent, paniculate, many branched, each branch 6 to 8 flowered, 3'4 [1 meter] long, many flowered inflorescence with ovate-oblong, acuminate floral bracts.
