ORIGIN: Found in Bahia state of Brazil in humid montane rain forests near the coast at elevations around 200 to 500 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Small sized, hot growing epiphyte with cylindrical, funnel-shaped apically pseudobulbs carrying 1 to 2, elliptic, subcoriaceous, smooth, shiny, acute leaves that blooms in the spring on a basal, paniculate, pendant, 6 to 8 [15 to 20 cm] long, 6 to 10 flowered inflorescence with showy flowers.
