ORIGIN: Found in Assam, eastern Himalayas, Myanmar, Thailand, Malaysia, Cambodia, Laos, Yunnan China and Vietnam in tropical valleys at elevations of 300 to 1200 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Miniature to medium sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte with a pendent, cylindric, hispid stem carrying many, narrowly lanceolate, acute to acuminate, sessile, reddish pubescent, jointed leaves that blooms in the spring on a short, arising opposite the leaves, hispid, 3 to 6 flowered inflorescence with a basal, ovate sheath and cordate, concave, hispid floral bracts.
