Pleurothallis adeodata is an orchid species identified by (P.Ortiz, O.Pérez & E.Parra) Pfahl in 2012. Culture information and photos for this orchid are commonly detailed under the currently accepted name of Acianthera adeodata.
ORIGIN: Found in Valle de Cauca Colombia at elevations around 1800 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Small to just medium sized, cool, descending growing epiphyte with a descending, cylindric ramicaul with a cylindrical sheath at the base carrying a single apical, elliptic-lanceolate, greenish, glabrous, coriaceous, mid rib slightly impressed, acute, decurrent, cordate below into the base leaf that blooms in the late winter and early spring on successive, racemose, 2” [5 cm] long, recumbent on the upper side of the leaf, several to 7 flowered inflorescence arising through an acute spathe and has campanulate floral bracts.
