ORIGIN: Found in eastern Costa Rica at elevations around 1100 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with slender, erect, suberect to horizontal ramicauls enveloped by a tubular sheath on the lower half and another 1 to 2 basal sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, thickly coriaceous, rigid, elliptical, acute, cuneate below intot he sessile abse leaf that blooms in the spring on a fascile of successively single flowered inflorescence arising through a spathe with which it is concealed and has thin, tubular floral bracts and carrying non-resupinate flowers.
