ORIGIN: Found in Sao Paulo Brazil in primary cloud forests with high humidity, partial shade and elevations of 1000 to 1300 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Small sized, cool growing epiphyte with erect, slender ramicauls carrying a single apical, light to dark green, purple blotched, flshy deeply keeled, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring on an erect, 2.4 [6 cm] long, successively few, 9 to 15, alternate flowered inflorescence.
