ORIGIN: Found in Costa Rica at elevations around 1500 to 2000 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Small sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with slender, erect to suberect ramicauls enveloped by a close, tubular sheath in the upper third, and a few others at the base and carrying a single, apical, horizontal to subhorizontal, coriaceous, narrowly ovate to acuminate, acute, cordate below into the sessile base leaf that blooms in the fall and winter on a fascile of 1 to 5, .28 to .4 [7 to 10 mm] long peduncle, successively single, few flowered inflorescence arising and concealed within a spathe at the apex of the ramicaul with a tubular floral bract.
