ORIGIN: Found in New Zealand in lowland to montane forests and in scrub.

DESCRIPTION: Medium sized, cold growing terrestrial with 4 to 6, often keeled, grassy leaves that blooms in the later winter through spring on an erect, single flowered inflorescence.

FLOWER SIZE: 1.2 to 2 inches [3 to 5 cm] -- information provided by Jay Pfahl, author of the Internet Orchid Species Encyclopedia (IOSPE).
