Orchid Species: Saccolabiopsis pusilla

Saccolabiopsis pusilla is an orchid species identified by (Lindl.) Seidenf. & Garay in 1972.
ORIGIN: Found in the eastern Himalayas, Bhutan, Sikkim, Myanmar and Thailand in subtropical forests at elevations around 290 to 500 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte with flattened roots and a stem enveloped by leaf bearing sheaths carrying 3, narrowly oblong-elliptic to narrowly obovate, curved, prominently veined beneath, unequally bifid apically, lobes oblong-triangular, sessile, jointed leaves that blooms in the spring on a pendant 6 [15 cm] long, several flowered inflorescence with the successively opening, membraneous flowers congregated towards the apex.
FLOWER SIZE: 0.6 to 1 inch [1.5 to 2.5 cm]
