ORIGIN: Found in Tanzania, Malawi, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Lesotho, Swaziland and Cape, Natal, Orange free State and Transvaal South Africa in open grasslands and on rocky slopes at elevations of 1200 to 2100 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Medium sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with 2, thick, ovate, acute, basal leaves on a separate shoot from the small bract-like leafy flowering stem that blooms in the late spring and summer on an erect, loosely several to many flowered inflorescence with elongate, narrow, acute, recurved floral bracts carrying non-resupinate, sweetly scented flowers.
