ORIGIN: Found in Norte de Santander Colombia in cloud forests at elevations around 2100 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Miniature to small sized, cold growing epiphyte with slender, erect ramicauls with a close tubular sheath below the middle and 2 to 3 inflated, imbricating sheaths at the base and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, oblong, obtuse, cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring on a subdense, subsecund, 4 to 4.8 [10 to 12 cm] long including the .8 to 1.2 [2 to 3 cm] long peduncle, simultaneously several flowered inflorescence arising through a slender spathe from an annulus just below the abscission layer.
