Orchid Species: Trichoglottis celebica

Trichoglottis celebica is an orchid species identified by Rolfe in 1899.
ORIGIN: Found in Borneo, Java, Lesser Sunda Islands, Sulawesi and Sumatra in hill forests overhanging rivers and streams at elevations of sea level to 1000 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Pendant, medium to large sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with an elongate stem carrying many lanceolate, unequally mucronate apically leaves that blooms in the spring on many, at each node along the stem, short, 1 to 2 flowered inflorescence with the flowers held close to the stem and all simultaneously opening.
