ORIGIN: Found in peninsular Malaysia, Borneo and Sumatra in lowland forests and foothills.

DESCRIPTION: Giant sized, hot growing epiphyte with very long, pendulous stems carrying lanceolate, acute, rufous pubescent leaves that are 1.2 to 1.6 [3 to 4 cm] apart and blooms in the fall on a densly long-pubescent, 8 to 12 [20 to 30 cm] long, fractiflex rachis, few to several flowered inflorescence with ovate, red apically, green basally floral bracts and has flowers that do not open widely and are pubescent on the outside.
