The Bermuda Orchid Society was started in 1954 to encourage cultivation of orchids in Bermuda. The Society organizes monthly meetings where information of cultivation of orchids is exchanged, plants are being displayed and sold and the general interest in Floriculture is stimulated. The Society meets on the third Thursday of the month, usually at the Horticultural Hall in the Botanical Gardens.
