almost 6 years agoHi Kerrie and welcome! Media depends on your growing conditions and the plant. I grow epidendrums like my Cattleyas, they are in the same family, but most of mine are large with psuedobulbs. Take a look at the potting mix used in a recently added plant, Epc. Honey ‘Richard Fulford’ which was shown recently. It is a beautifully grown orchid. That is the standard cattleya mix we use in South Florida where we grow outside. Many of the orchid supply companies sell it as a mix or you can make your own. I hope this helps. Carol
