Do I cut the flower stalk off after flowers drop right away or wait until the stalk dries out?

Hi Jackie, In general, cutting the stalk off allows the plant to put energy into plant growth. In a Phalaenopsis there might be more flowers off the old stem so people like to leave the stem. I like to cut stems from everything except sequential bloomers. I would use a cutting instrument that has been sterilized as you don’t want to spread virus. Hope this helps. Carol
