ORIGIN: Found in southeastern and southern Brazil at elevations of 800 to 1400 meters in shade on moss covered lower tree branches.

DESCRIPTION: Miniature to just medium sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with close set, cylindrical to conical, slightly compressed pseudobulbs partially enveloped by white papery sheaths and carrying 1 to 2, erect to spreading, thick, leathery, dull green, oblong to elliptic, acute and recurved apically, conduplicate below into the base leaves that blooms in the fall on a basal, slender, arching to pendulous, 16 to 35 [40 to 90 cm] long, to 20 flowered inflorescence arising on a mature pseudobulb and holding all the flowers in the apical half.
