ORIGIN: Found only in eastern Cape Province, South Africa in well drained soils at elevations of 90 to 550 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Fairly robust, to medium sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial in sandy or clayey, wet soils in open, short scrublands with lanceolate leaves that blooms on a rather stout, somewhat flexuous, densely many flowered, to 18 [45 cm] long inflorescence arising in the spring in South Africa.
